This means you get top-notch, personalized care with sublingual ketamine, fitting just right for your journey of healing.

Your Path with Us

Preparation

Before your Ketamine dosing session, we’ll have 2-4 sessions to get to know each other, set your goals and intentions, and prepare you for what’s ahead.

1.

Dosing Session

This is where the magic happens. During a 3-hour session, you’ll embark on your ketamine journey, guided by your therapist. They’ll be right there with you, offering the right amount of support you need in a peaceful, safe setting. This can be done in person at our Albany, NY office or virtually in the comfort of your own home.

2.

3.

Integration

The journey doesn’t stop at the dosing session and integration is the most important step in KAP. In the next 2-4 sessions, you’ll talk through your experience, uncover new insights, and figure out how to weave them into your daily life. Together, we’ll build strategies for a healthier, more enlightened you.

FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions we get about working together.

If you don’t see your question listed or are ready to schedule a free consult, contact us and we will get back to you within 2 business days.

  • Clients must undergo a comprehensive evaluation by a medical professional at Journey Clinical to assess their suitability for KAP. Eligible clients will be prescribed sublingual Ketamine by Journey Clinical's medical team.

Following this assessment, clients will engage in 2-4 preparatory sessions. These sessions are designed to establish a connection with their therapist, define goals for their therapy journey, address any questions, and set expectations for what lies ahead.

The core of the treatment involves a 3-hour dosing session under the guidance of an experienced therapist. During this session, clients will adhere to the treatment protocol established by Journey Clinical's medical team. The therapist is available to offer support, and may also lead the client through various breathing or meditation exercises as needed. This session can take place either in our Albany, NY location or through a virtual setting.

Subsequently, clients will proceed with integration sessions. In these sessions, they work closely with their therapist to apply new insights and strategies into their everyday lives.

  • The experience can vary significantly among individuals, but many report altered states of consciousness, including changes in perceptions, emotions, and thoughts. Throughout the session, a therapist guides and supports the patient, helping them process any insights or emotions that arise.

  • Usually, our program follows this structure, although it can be adjusted based on the individual needs of each client:

    • An initial series of 2-4 preparation sessions. For existing clients, 1-2 sessions may be needed.

    • A single 3-hour dosing session

    • A series of 2-4 integration sessions

The necessity for additional dosing sessions will be determined through discussions between the client and their medical professional at Journey Clinical.

  • Your therapist can provide more details on this. For KAP dosing sessions, it's necessary to have a chaperone present, and a consent form must be signed for the chaperone.

  • Our Albany, New York office provides in-person KAP sessions. Your therapist will make sure you're fully equipped with everything necessary, like a comfortable space to lie down, headphones, weighted blankets, and any other essentials, creating a serene environment for your dosing session. Please be aware that you must arrange for someone to drive you home afterward.

  • For the 60-minute preparation and integration sessions, we accept insurance from the following providers: Aetna, Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Cigna, Oxford, and Oscar. It is important to note that the 3-hour dosing session typically does not fall under insurance coverage and is subject to a private pay rate of $480.

  • When scheduling a 3-hour KAP dosing session, a deposit of 50% is necessary. We have a one-week cancellation policy for these sessions since we allocate this time exclusively for you. If a cancellation occurs within one week of the scheduled dosing session, the 50% deposit will be forfeited.
